David Hamilton Fowler (1824-1864), the seventh son of the Duke of Roxborough and cousin to the Prince of Wales, immigrated to New Orleans, where he owned a steam boiler manufacturing company. He served in the Confederate Army as a Captain in Company B, 16th Battalion, Louisiana Infantry and died in Columbus, Georgia, as a result of the war.
